I just wanted to jump in here real quick and post a small update. I have decided to roll this site into my main domain of Somethingthatdoesntsuck.com since it doesn’t really generate that much traffic and .org TLD’s are slightly expensive. So the sites new home is now at http://silverpigeon.somethingthatdoesntsuck.com and will remain here for as long as my main site/blog exists (a long time).

I also disabled the Mingle Forums that were up since they were not really used that much and were a confusing mess of sorts. Contact can still be made through posts on the main page if necessary. Also to this end I’ve re-enabled mail services so I’ll actually get a response now if someone posts a comment. I had inadvertently toggled this off during some testing about a year ago, and since I never send mail out from these sites, I failed to notice it was off. My apologies if your comments when un answered or un posted.

And finally in Pigeon related news, I’m currently working on finally getting my C-75 up and running. For the longest time I really wanted the original engine to run, but frankly its missing to many parts and after riding my C-80 around the reliability just is not there. So what I’m doing now is putting a 6.5hp Harbor Freight honda clone in it. These things are cheap, run as strong as a Honda, and have a very healthy aftermarket of upgrade parts thanks to GoKarters. The drive line is going to be a Comet Torq-a-vert running a chain directly to the rear sprocket. I’ll have more pics on this as it starts to come together, but its looking really promising. At some point down the road it will even get an electric starter bring the C-75 right up into the modern world.

Just a neat video I ran across on youtube showing the Vintage Motor Bike Club Annual Get-Together from July 2011. Sorry on the lack of updates recently, have been pretty busy. The server that the site was formally hosted on went down in a ball of flames due to some bad admin choices that completely foobard permissions server wide (I didn’t do it, thats all that matters). So I have moved the site to my own actual server for safe keeping now. Everything should be back up and running now, was having an issue with PHP and openbase_dir errors that I finally got figured out. If you run across anything that’s not working give a shout. Also the forums do not send me a message everytime someone posts. If you need to get a hold of me just leave a comment on one of these front page posts and it will forward a message to my inbox. I do hope to upload some more pictures I’ve been collecting soon so check back from time to time to take a look.

Hey all,

Just got the site through a massive overhaul with a shiny new theme and a new page setup with forums so everyone can share pictures of their Pigeons, ask questions and hopefully get an answer. I’m not sure what to really expect as far as traffic on the forums, so I guess we shall wait and see.

Just a post to wrap up the end of the year. I don’t put to many updates on here anymore since the site for the most part just runs its self. I do pop in once or twice a month to clear out the spam comments and upload some new pictures that have shown up on craigslist or ebay.

Not sure exactly what’s going on here with this odd ball.

It doesn’t look like a factory job like the golf carts they made, maybe its the ugly duckling offspring of a Tote Goat and a Pigeon. Kind of think its a home built since the frame looks to be grafted to what was left of the pigeons forward frame. At any rate heres a link to the craigslist ad if your feeling adventurous.
